Yesterday I sent an email to WordPress Support about a minor bug that I found. After a fairly standard response to force a refresh and clear my cache and cookies, I replied again with some screenshots. I then got another email thanking me, telling me he would make a developer aware of it. Thanks Doug!

The bug occurrs in the Categories section when you are creating a new post. If you click on “All Categories” followed by “+ Add New Category” and then proceed to add a category with a Parent Category chosen, all the items that were previously in the list below are added to it again, making it about twice as long as it was previously (plus the one extra item).

I think I have found another bug related to the same section; if you edit a post that has a Category assigned, and this Category has a Parent Category, clicking on “All Categories” on the edit page does not show it’s assined Category in the tree view below it’s Parent Category. Sorry to be annoying, Doug!

A friend of mine, Michael, had a poker night tonight with Jess, Lambkin, Kylie, QN, John and myself. I had been to his place, in Shortland, before, but not in a while, so I brought it up on google maps on my iPhone before leaving. Following the map as I drove had not been a problem the last few times I did this, but as I got closer, the mobile internet must have lost it’s connection, so the maps stopped loading, then all of a sudden, the blue dot showing my GPS position was showing me in the middle of a gray and white checkered “field”. Not to worry though, I had been there before, and, just as I pulled up to park, I got my Internet connection back.

I got there a bit late, so the poker game was pretty much over, and then we started playing Pictionary, where the real fun (and arguments) began. However, I don’t think that there are many games of this particular genre that don’t invoke arguments between it’s competitors. After a few games, two leaving and another retiring to bed, the last of us had a few games of cards before calling it a night at around 2am.

Well, unfortunately, I’ve spent pretty much the last 7 days in bed with a cold I’ve got a soccer game at Marks Point that starts at 3… And I’m pretty sure I got my cold from one of the other guys in the team (points finger at Adrian) and that a few of the other team members have also caught a cold from him too. As you can see in the table, the top 5 teams are all very close.

I have now set up flickr, twitter and wordpress. My home page is still under construction, but will get done very soon.

I set up a yahoo email address so that I can have push emails to my iPhone, but still will only be using my gmail one as far as everyone else will be aware, because I will have gmail forwarded to my yahoo mail.

I plan to use this blog as a mix of general blog posts, ramblings, random stories/events/travels, photoshop editing, DJ’ing, and also some posts might be used as a how-to for various computer issues I come across.
